The founder in the city grid

The 1982 ordinance places Gil Ramírez Dávalos between Coronel Talbot, Vega Muñoz, Benigno Malo and the north bank of the Tomebamba. The municipal urban-history study explains that Gil Ramírez Dávalos executed the April 12, 1557, foundation on the former Inca-occupied plain of Tumipamba and that the Spanish damero shaped the historic center. 1 2
