From Santa Rosa to Octavio Cordero Palacios

The parish GAD records a foundation under the name Santa Rosa on August 4, 1854, and explains that the municipality renamed it Octavio Cordero Palacios in 1933, honoring the writer, mathematician, lawyer and inventor born there in 1870. The same account describes the 1943 adobe parish church and a history shaped by earlier ties to San Blas, Llacao, Sidcay and Checa. 1 2
