Place names as cultural heritage

The University of Cuenca thesis on Tarqui treats place names as intangible heritage and combines historical sources, oral memory, field interviews and GIS. It identifies Cañari, Kichwa, Spanish and mixed forms, while warning that some meanings are no longer remembered.
