Wet ground and housing growth

A University of Cuenca study describes Totoracocha as an urban parish divided into city developments and traces its limit through Sebastián de Benalcázar, Gil Ramírez Dávalos, España, Milchichig, González Suárez and Guapondélig. Local historical summaries associate the name with former ponds and totora and identify Banco de la Vivienda as its first neighborhood, built during the 1970s. 2 3
